Day 7 – The Return Home

Our trip to the Big Island of Hawaii was very successful. We had a fantastic time. Although our time was limited to having just seven total days, including the days that we traveled to and from the island, we were able to get a lot done. We traveled to each corner of the island, experiencing the many different climate zones and visited some of the best towns on the island. We were able to do quite a bit in this short period of time, and we would have no problem doing this again. We experienced so much, and we were able to see those classic Hawaiian sunsets.

The trip home was easy. We arrived at the airport a couple hours early. We were departing just after 1 PM. We would travel on an interisland flight to Oahu, and after a 90 minute layover, we were on our way back to Sacramento California. If you are visiting this website, this might provide you with a few ideas on where you can go if you travel to the Big Island in the near future. We have also started to add different pages on this website for places that we would like to go snorkeling, hiking, and other activities that we would like to do on the Big Island when we go back, hopefully to do another fantastic luau.

If you would like to review our trip again, perhaps to start creating your own itinerary for when you visit, here are the links to the prior six days of our seven day Hawaiian vacation.
